I started this blog to get out my thoughts and perspectives. Why anonymously you might ask? Well, because I’m not the “sugar-coating” type and a lot of what I like to discuss are topics considered as highly controversial. I expect that many people will feel provoked by my insights, especially because I naturally operate in a no-nonsense, “don’t give me excuses” type of mentality.
Am I an empathetic person? Absolutely, but I’ve spent a lot of years inside complex systems, observing and interacting with different kinds of personalities, witnessing various behaviors and motives at play. I’ve seen the issues, heard to the wants and also listened to the excuses. Basically, I’ve studied people for many years and frankly, most people get on my nerves because they’re perpetuating the problems within our society with their own behavior. 🙄
Also, should note that my form of brain-rotting is to read through people’s arguments online. I can’t even explain how much I love it - it tickles that itch in my brain. I can waste hours immersed in people’s drama, analyzing them. I find it to be both amusing and frustrating.
Lately, I’ve noticed a growing desire for meaningful change within society especially with all the political and religious corruption being brought forward. People are becoming increasingly vocal about the issues they want solved, yet many seem completely oblivious to how their own behavior contributes to those exact problems. It’s a fascinating contradiction. I thought instead of replying to people directly, I’d just take those scenarios and use them as examples on this blog. I don’t know who will end up reading my thoughts, but someone’s got to call out the BS if we ever expect to move forward. You’re welcome. 😏
Before we start wandering down whatever rabbit holes catch my attention, I think I should be clear on a few things. First and foremost, I’m not here to tell you what to think. I’m sharing what I see, how I see it and I’ll probably outline some kind of possible solution because why not? I want people to start thinking more, to disagree and still be able to hold a fruitful conversation, to work through comprehending problems together and ideating possible solutions with one another. That’s ultimately what I want to see - a shift in those ridiculous conversations I’m brain-rotting to.
I’m going to have a lot of opinions. Some of them are going to be wildly unpopular, some will be extremely controversial, and others might make you laugh, roll your eyes or question whether I’ve completely lost my mind. That’s fine. I’m not asking you to agree with me or to stick around even. This is just a place for me to get these thoughts out of my head - sometimes politely, sometimes sarcastically and always with a very straightforward, “what the actual fuck are we doing here?” type of attitude…haha…so consider yourself warned. 😉
